When first visiting the Division of Neurology you will meet for an initial consultation with your neurologist. You will be asked a series of questions to learn more about your condition. You will also undergo a neurological examination so your neurologist can learn more about the problems you are having and make a diagnosis.
Some patients may require a specialized procedure such as a lumbar puncture, electromyography (EMG) or tensilon test to help learn more about their condition. Once a diagnosis is made, your Fallon Clinic neurologist is dedicated to offering the latest treatment options available. Many disorders of the brain and nervous system can be successfully treated with proper medication. Even in diseases and disorders that have no cure, such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, effective treatments are available to alleviate symptoms.
